The Scuba Lounge by Brodie Neill for Domodinamica

This aerodynamics seating design was created by designer Brodie Neill. The Scuba Lounge is designed for the manufacturer Domodinamica. This modern seating ideas inspired from the aerodynamics of high performance sports cars, Scuba displays a still sense of movement as its contours flow between seat and structure.

The name Scuba refers to the underwater adventure where many graceful species can be witnessed drifting the seas with ease and elegance. The elevated seat spanning over 2 metres is fringed with the sweeping sides reaching down to the floor like the wings of a manta ray.

Scuba’s self supporting strength is achieved through the ever-undulating curve, bending and coving to provide structure within a 3-dimensional curvilinear surface. The raised backrest maintains overall rigidity with its concaved cross-section that slowly opens as the swooping lines skim to the floor.

Available in gloss finished lacquer with optional leather cover.
